Yasmin will forever remain a film guru

KUALA LUMPUR: Yasmin Ahmad left a legacy of her works in the film and advertisement arenas, thriving on the themes of love, family ties and comedy against the backdrop of multiracial Malaysia.

Born in Bukit Treh, Muar, Johor on July 1 1958, Yasmin, who graduated in psychology from Newcastle University, United Kingdom, had won local and international creativity awards.

Newcastle University Medicine Malaysia is inviting qualified Malaysian students who want to pursue a degree in Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS)to apply now for September 2009 intake.

Only 40 places are available and the Closing Date is 31st. May 2009.

This is a UK medical education being conducted in Malaysia thus at a significantly reduced cost.

  • A-Level and STPM - Grade A in three subjects which should include Biology and any other two subjects.

    BRITAIN’S Newcastle University Medicine (NUMed) wants to position Iskandar Malaysia as one of the leading higher educational hubs in the region.

    NUMed Malaysia Sdn Bhd chief executive officer Professor Reginald Jordan s aid its first international branch campus in Johor would be the main catalyst to promote the state as the preferred destination for medical studies.

    JOHOR BAHARU, May 5 (Bernama) -- The Newcastle University of Medicine (NUMed) Malaysia has opened enrolment for the first intake to study at its campus at Educity in Iskandar Malaysia.

    Numed Malaysia Sdn Bhd Chief Executive Officer Professor Reginald Jordan said the university would offer 40 places for the initial intake of Malaysians and international students.
