MALACCA HIGH SCHOOL BUILDING AS A HERITAGE BUILDING?
9th. November 2009
Do you think we should request the National Heritage Department to declare Malacca High School Main Building to be gazetted as a heritage building?
I understand VI School Building is going to be gazetted as a heritage building in Kuala Lumpur and so is KG V School in Seremban. As Malacca High School Main building at her present site was opened in 1931, it is older than VI and KGV buildings. Moreover, our building is unique as it is constructed in brick and wood while the other 2 buildings are in brick.
Being the oldest government school in Malaysia, Malacca High School should also be honoured to be declared as a heritage building for all Malaysians to remember by.
We will like to receive your comments on this proposal.
