
HSOBA Club House Repainted and Cafe to be ready hopefully in May 2006

The current HSOBA Building at Malacca High School is being feverishly renovated by the HSOBA committee in Melaka. The school colours have been painted on the external walls of the building while a new kitchen and cafe are being added.
Slotted to be completed by May 2006, old pupils of MHS can enjoy a meal or a drink at the refurbished Club House of HSOBA. Hopefully, in the future the Club House will be a meeting point of Malacca High "graduates" whenever they are back in Malacca.

Old boys of the Malacca High School Class of '63 will hold a reunion dinner at their hometown on April 30. For many of them, it will be the first get-together after 42 years.

MHS 1966 connecting each other at MSN
The MHS Class of 1966 has been in touch with one another through MSN over the years. It is very heartening to read and view their activities over the Internet. Seems the group has been having an enjoyable time.

MHS CLASS OF 1976 REUNION
The Malacca High Class of 76 will be holding their Reunion on 2nd. September 2006 in Kuala Lumpur.
It has been 30 years that they have left Malacca High and this Reunion is for schoolmates to meet up.

MHS Class of 1969 to 1975 Monthly Meeting
The Melaka High School Class of 1969 to 1975 meets on the last Wednesday of each month at Cobra Club near the Astaka at Petaling Jaya from 7.30pm onwards.
Old pupils of MHS which fall into this period are invited to attend this event every month. This informal gathering has been in existence for the last 13 years.

MHS 180th. First Day Cover?

The current president of MAHSOPA, Tun Abdullah Salleh, has written to the Multimedia Division of the Malaysian Government at Putrajaya recently requesting POS Malaysia to have a first day cover for MHS 180th. Anniversary in 2006.
It will be good that a first day cover be done so that the public knows about the 180th. anniversary of Malacca High School.
MHS 180th. Anniversary Commemorative Book Being Compiled
March 2006
The Malacca High School Old Pupils Association, Kuala Lumpur Chapter informed the old pupils that a group of old MHS pupils are preparing/compiling a book on the history of MHS.
Old pupils are requested to send in old photographs and activities of the school so that they can selected to be printed in this forthcoming book.
This book will highlight the illustrious history of Malacca High School since her foundation in 1826 until 2006. Old photos, articles and various interesting pieces will be featured in the book which will become an historical document in years to come.
