During MAHSOPA 2008 AGM on Saturday, 2nd. August 2008, members of MAHSOPA duly elected their new team for 2008/2009.

The main committee members were retained while new members were co-opted to become new committee members of the Committee.

28th. July 2008

I am digressing to state that between end of 1941 till end of 1945 MHS was a school teaching Japanese.Actually Malacca High,premises was converted to house Australian troops by end of 1939 if my memory serves me right and the Japanese took it and the Rest House Malacca to billet their troops.

MHS functioned then in the BHES premises in an afternoon shift.After the surrender HSM continued with the same routine as the vacated accomodation was used to billet the British Indian Army of reoccupation.

Melaka, our home state has been listed in the UNESCO World Heritage City List from 7th. July 2008.

After 7 years of hard work and evaluation by UNESCO experts in the field of heritage, Melaka finally was listed jointly with Georgetown of Penang under the "Historic Cities in the Straits of Malacca".

Melaka with her steep history and harmonious living of various cultures and religions, has been taken note by world experts as we are unique in the eyes of the world.

Calling all 55-year old Malacca High School 1966-1970 Alumni members. A group of former students from Malacca High School who turn 55 this year is organising a Grand Reunion Dinner-cum-Birthday Bash at Poolside, Equatorial Hotel Malacca on July 19 at 7.00pm.

Classmates and schoolmates in primary schools, Bandar Hilir English School or Tranquerah English School and those came to Malacca High School for Form 6(1971-72) are also welcomed.

Mengingatkan MHS, kita sering mengadakan reunion di kalangan kita.

MAHSOPA ANNUAL GENERAL MEETING 2008 ON 2ND. AUGUST 2008 AT KELAB GOLF NEGARA SUBANG

After our MAHSOPA COMMITTEE MEETING on Wednesday, 28th. May 2008, it was agreed that our 2008 Annual General Meeting be held on Saturday, 2nd. August 2008. Venue is at Kelab Golf Negara Subang at 2.00pm as our previous meeting room at Shah Village Hotel, Petaling Jaya is booked on that particular day.

As our primary school, Bandar Hilir English School (BHES) or now called SK Bandar Hilir, was one of the feeder schools to Malacca High School, please be informed that Bandar Hilir English School, will be celebrating her 100 years of founding on 14th. June 2008.

The Parents Teachers Association and the School are holding a Grand Dinner of more than 100 tables on Saturday, 14th. June 2008. The Venue will be within the School compound. Dinner tables are being sold at RM 300.00 per table as a fund raising event for the School.
