AIRLIFT OF MALAYSIAN STUDENTS FROM EQYPT

Malaysian students returning home from Egypt are glad that their nightmare is over and are praying for the safe return of the others still there.

The Saudi Arabian government has granted unlimited flight access to Malaysia to airlift its citizens from Egypt to Jeddah.

The Royal Malaysian Air Force round the clock, is helping Malaysian students to load their belongings onto C-130 Hercules aircraft at the Cairo International Airport.

The 1973 - 79 Malacca High School's schoolmates and classmates express their congratulations to Gan Peng Lam for being conferred with the Malacca State Title of Justice of Peace JP.

He was conferred with this Malacca State Award in an official investiture ceremony held recently in conjunction with the Malacca Governor's Birthday.

Dear Webmaster,

I have just been looking at your excellent web site
including the many photographs.

Does anyone still remember me? I taught History and English at the school between 1957-60 and have very happy memories.For many years I kept in touch with Mr P.V. Jacob who was Head of English and later Head of St Davids.Sadly he died in Australia a few years ago.

I celebrated my 80th birthday last year but am keeping reasonably fit.
Sadly I have never been back to Malacca since I left. However a few years

MALACCA: Former student and Malacca Chief Minister Datuk Seri Mohd Ali Rustam has pledged to help the Malacca High School Old Boys Association (HSOBA) following plans by the education authorities here to acquire its clubhouse.

Mohd Ali, who studied at Malacca High School between 1961 and 1967, said he was unaware of the dispute between the school authorities and HSOBA over the use of the clubhouse.

Standoff between old boys and school

MALACCA: A storm is brewing following plans by the education authorities here to acquire the clubhouse of the 90-year-old Malacca High School Old Boys Association (HSOBA) which is located within the school grounds.

HSOBA members have been prevented from enjoying the use of the clubhouse since 2006 by the school authorities.

Its president Manuel Gomez said he was shocked at the manner in which the school had acquired the club house without holding proper talks first.

A REUNION BY FORMER STUDENTS OF BANDAR HILIR ENGLISH SCHOOL who studied from 1967 TO 1972 and MALACCA HIGH SCHOOL who studied from 1973 TO 1979
was held at Avillion Hotel, Melaka on 1st.January 2011.

They met up for buffet lunch from 12.00 noon until 4.00pm. and a number of primary teachers and secondary teachers attended this function

One more for the ‘Centenary Club’

MALACCA: Another school in the state achieved the distinction of becoming a member of the ‘Centenary Club’.

SK Methodist ACS which was previously known as Malacca’s Anglo Chinese School joined a handful of century-old schools like the Malacca High School, St. Francis Institution, Sacred Heart Convent, Infant Jesus Convent and the Methodist Girls School.
Original premise: A private residence along Heeren Street with seven a student enrolment that sparked SMK Methodist ACS start.
