KUALA LUMPUR: It was an emotional affair after 45 years for the old boys of Malacca High School, who attended their reunion dinner at Makhota Hotel in Malacca recently.
There were hugs, tears and squeals of delight were in the air as  former classmates of the 1966 batch met to reminisce their younger days.

About 80 alumni members, aged between 61 and 63, and their spouses, turned up in full force.

Some came  all the way from London, Vancouver, Melbourne, Singapore and Penang.

Organising chairman Ivan Seet Kim Seng set the ball rolling with his opening address after guests were handed out commemorative T-shirts and a souvenir magazine aptly entitled Reflections – Rekindling Friendship.

A video presentation followed, with background songs of Ray Peterson’s Corina Corina, Elvis Presley’s  It’s Now or Never and Gene Raskin’s Those Were The Days.

As guests tucked into a sumptuous eight-course dinner, entertainment was provided by  seasoned guitarists Frankie Neo and See Heng Lee.
